I feel like I’ve been waiting for this trailer FOREVER. With equal amounts of excitement and dread. I love, love, love The Hunger Games. I do NOT want this movie to disappoint me. It can’t take away what I love about the books, of course, but I really want to see it do justice to the books.

I think my dread may be gone. I don’t have any idea how this trailer plays for people unfamiliar with the books but it gave me goosebumps. The count down at the end? So good. I can’t wait to see this thing on the big screen. (The trailer AND the movie.)

It doesn’t quite match The Hunger Games world that exists in my head. At least not what we’re seeing of District 12. I always imagined it… dirtier? Which would explain why the initial images we were getting weren’t satisifying me. I wanted them all to look grittier, covered in some noticable grime. But there seems to be enough of a contrast between The Capitol and District 12 that it won’t bother me in execution.
